Family Med School Labs Spring 2012 Schedule

Experience a unique evening with your family exploring human anatomy and contemporary health issues.  Activities include 3-D demonstrations of human organs and hands-on anatomical dissections in a special, state-of-the-art laboratory.  Physicians and educators from the Saint Louis University community will facilitate these educational programs for you and your children, 5th grade and older. Have an unforgettable evening learning about the human body, diseases, and ways to stay healthy!

Family Science Saturdays

This fall the Science Center has a new experience to share with you, your family and friends. Every second Saturday, you can join members of the Science Center staff for the new “Family Science” series. 

The Family Science series will present monthly workshops open to families and adults that teaches them fun ways to share science at home. Children are encouraged and must be attended by a chaperone at a ratio of 1 adult for every 5 children.

  Saturday, Feb. 11
  10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we’re offering a sweet workshops for the whole family. Join us as we explore the science of cakes, candy and cookies! Note: This class is open to all ages.

• Family Science: Paleo Plunge
  Saturday, March 3
  10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
  You’ve visited the Paleo Lab before, but never like this. Join us for a private behind the scenes tour of the Paleo Lab and its amazing collection of fossils. During the special experience we’ll even help you brush up on your skills as we work to identify, clean and glue together real dinosaur bones. Maybe next time you visit the lab, you’ll see a fossil you helped prepare on display!
  
  Note: Because of the nature of this very special experience, enrollment is limited to just 20 people. Everyone in attendance must have a ticket including chaperones/parents.
