The OMNIMAX Theater is an experience like no other! Sit under a four-story screen while taking in breathtaking, awe-inspiring scenery in a state-of-the-art wrap-around, domed theater. Sit back, relax and let sight and sound take over as images come leaping toward and around you, while the 15,000-watt sound system tricks you into believing you're really there. The OMNIMAX is a high-fidelity, 70MM motion picture system that uses state-of-the-art technology to create amazing images of unsurpassed clarity and impact. The specially designed IMAX camera uses the largest film frame in motion picture history - 10 times the size of a standard 35MM frame. The film is carried through the projector horizontally, instead of vertically. During a 40-minute show, the projector carries more than 10,000-feet of the oversized film at 24 frames per second.

OMNIMAX images have much greater detail than standard motion picture cameras. By using a fisheye lens on the projector, the images can be transferred accurately onto a curved, domed screen. Thanks to a glass-enclosed projection room, you can watch as the operator moves the large projector into position for viewing and starting the film.
