Segway Programs
Whether it's your first experience or you're a Segway Pro, we have a Segway program for you! Glide along on a Segway Human Transporter balanced by the technology that keeps the space station level. Learn the basics in Segway 101. For those more adventurous souls, you can test your skills on the challenge course in "Meet the Challenge." Regularly scheduled tours of Forest Park in St. Louis, MO, and also in Alton and Hartford, IL will resume in April 2009. Charter Tours are available in all three locations (listed above) for groups of 4 or more: Glided Charter Tours: $85 per person and Wheels-N-Meals Charter Tours: $100 per person. Segway 101
Get your first taste of gliding along, totally balanced by the five gyroscopes embedded in the Segway Human Transporter. Learn what makes it tick, what safe and what not, and walk away with your very own personalized Segway Operator License. Segways are shared in this class.

Segway 201
After you complete Segway 101, take your skills a step further with Segway 201. This mini tour lets you experience different terrains around the Planetarium and our corner of Forest Park. This can be tailored to another location. Segway 101 is a prerequisite.

Meet the Challenge
Meet the Segway challenge of a unique set of obstacles created just for the Segway buff. Spend 30 minutes on your Segway navigating through a fun and challenging course! Segway 101 is a prerequisite.

Glided Tour *Forest Park (Weather permitting November Through March)
Atop your Segway, you will experience Forest Park in a whole new way, after a brief class glide along the park interconnecting network of roads, paths and bike trails. Our tour leader will give you a brief history of the park many famed attractions such as the History Museum, Steinberg Skating Rink, World Fair Pavilion, Jewel Box and the restored Grand Basin with its magnificent fountains, wildlife and rental boats. Sunrise Segways (Returning April 2010)
Meet in the early morning for your training and ride off into the park for breakfast. We will master the Segway and tour Forest Park stopping by Forest Perk Cafe to enjoy breakfast before continuing on our tour. Nature Glide Brunch Tour (Weather permitting November through March(
This is our newest gliding tour in Forest Park. After a short training class we will glide off into Forest Park for brunch at The Boat House. This tour experiences a totally different side of Forest Park, seeing more of the nature that our park has to offer. We will glide through the Kennedy Forest testing your knowledge of the beautiful Missouri trees, crossover the Tamm overpass to Turtle Park and pass by the renowned St. Louis Zoo. Segways at your Event!
Find out about customized programs related to the Segway Human Transporter. Participants must be at least 12 years old, weigh a minimum of 100 lbs and a maximum of 260 lbs. Bring your group to the Science Center or we can come to you. Check the current Segway course listing and schedule at www.slsc.org.
Cost: Depends on number of Segways and customized length of program
1 Segway/1 staff person:

1 additional Segway/1 staff person:

Over 50 miles, additional charges for mileage will be added.
