The Space Show

A 40 minute dark sky Planetarium show* in the Orthwein StarBay including a live presentation The Sky Tonight which explores the current evening's night sky wonders

  • In between star shows take a self-guided tour of the Boeing Space Station and learn about living and working in space
  • Try your hand at various space missions in the SBC Learning Center

*All Boeing Space Station exhibit areas are closed during the dark sky Planetarium Space show. Guests will be asked to gather in the Orthwein StarBay during this time.

The Little Star that Could
The story of an "average" star who travels the universe in search of planets. Along the way he makes many discoveries about stars, planets, galaxies and himself. This show is recommended for early childhood age, and is a great show for early childhood groups.
Teachers: This show is recommended for Grades K - 2

Planets of the Sun
For thousands of years, humans have watched the planets move across the starry sky. Yet it has only been in the last 400 years that we have come to understand our place in the solar system. Learn more about each of these heavenly bodies, their unique stories, and our celestial neighborhood by exploring the Planets of the Sun.
Teachers: This show is recommended for Grades 3 - 5

Mr. Hubble's Universe
The Hubble Space Telescope was named after one of the most influential astronomers of our time, Edwin Hubble. Take a tour of our Universe revealed by Mr. Hubble's Telescope as it unravels the mysteries of the cosmos.
Teachers: This show is recommended for Grades 6 - 8

Pluto: The Little Planet that Wasn't
So what happened to Pluto anyway? Why isn't it a "planet" any longer? Discovered in 1930, this little icy rock with three moons has been the subject of great controversy. In this show we expose the truth about Pluto and why it has been reclassified as a Dwarf Planet.
Teachers: This show is recommended for Grades 3 - 5
