Showcase features ideas, eco-friendly products and services

Learn to live a sustainable life!

Eco Expo is a free event designed to help people define the swarm of buzzwords like "green," "sustainable" and "eco-friendly" and put them into action. The expo will feature a model "green home," organic cooking demonstrations, a?live entertainment?and much more.

The Science Center and its partners hope to educate area visitors about the many ways they can live, work and play in a way that's friendly to the environment. Eco Expo will feature a showcase of products, services and ideas from regional and local companies and organizations that specialize in or offer sustainable or ecological products and services.

Saturday's featured speaker is Ron Cogan, publisher of Green Car Journal and editor of green car.com, who will present "Green Cars Among Us." Science has made advanced vehicle technologies and fuels possible that are bringing greater fuel efficiency and near-zero emissions from conventional gasoline and "clean diesel" vehicles to American highways. Learn what "greener" vehicles are available in showrooms today.
