The camel rides will take place outside of the main building at 5050 Oakland Ave. Rides are $5 for everyone. The camel can seat up to two children with one adult. Discover the lost secrets of ancient Egypt at our June First Friday event dedicated to our summer exhibition, Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science! Take in an Egyptian belly dance performance, try your luck at scifi trivia and participate in a Science Cafe with Dr. Michelle Loyet of Webster University as she discusses the tradition of mummification in Egypt. Enjoy a special presentation in the James S. McDonnell Planetarium focusing on how ancient Egyptians and other ancient cultures used the stars to navigate. “Good things happen when you recycle!” That’s Coca Cola’s message being delivered to the Saint Louis Science Center on Sunday, June 9, 2013. Coca Cola’s Recycling Educational Vehicle will be outside the Science Center’s main building to engage and entertain visitors with experiences that emphasize the importance of recycling. As the culmination of a two-week intensive course in entrepreneurship, six young semi-finalists will present their business plans before a distinguished panel of judges and invited guests. The event will feature key note speaker Maxine Clark, founder of Build-A-Bear Workshop.
