On Saturday, October 19, families can spend the day exploring paleontology and dinosaurs through demonstrations, real fossils and exciting hands-on activities! You can test your knowledge with a fun game of Dino Bingo and take a closer look at some dino tracks to solve a dinosaur footprint mystery.
In addition, our Paleotrek team will unveil their discoveries from their latest trip. This year the team excavated some impressive finds, including a five-foot triceratops frill, a Tyrannosaurus rex toe bone, a hadrosaur tibia and fibula, and a mammoth skull. You will not want to miss seeing all of these!
Have you found any fossils in your backyard? Local geologists will also be on site to identify any of your own finds! You will also be able to experience how paleontologists jacket fossils for display when you get the opportunity to place a display jacket on a real bone.
