The award-winning Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis provides space education programs for schools, corporations, scouts, community groups and the general public. At the core of the Center are state-of-the-art space simulators, which include an orbiting space station and a Mission Control center modeled after NASA's Johnson Space Center.
The program is part of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, an international not-for-profit education organization founded in April 1986 by the families of the astronauts tragically lost during the Challenger space shuttle mission.

Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis offers hands-on space science experiences for students. Students complete their classroom curriculum unit on space science and then enter the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis to become part of the flight crew and mission control. Students experience unparalleled excitement of space exploration by flying a simulated mission into space.
Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis offers three exciting missions: Rendezvous with a CometTM, Return to the MoonTM and Voyage to MarsTM. The Center also offers engaging Discovery Classroom Workshops, including The Great Rocket Design Challenge.
As an educator, when you enroll your class in a Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis program, you receive a free professional development workshop. The professional development workshop provides invaluable resources and activities that will take you well beyond your day-off Challenger Learning Center experience.
If you would like to participate in Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis programs but you are a bit far from the center, Distance Learning programs are also offered.
Beyond school programs, Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis hosts public missions, summer camps, scout programs, birthday parties and corporate programs.
