Celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 Moon landing on Saturday May 17 at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium.  This event will feature a live presentation by legendary NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz  in the Planetarium StarBay and lots of Moon related activities and displays in the Planetarium lobby.  
 
Apollo 11 45th Anniversary Events: 
10am - 2pm: Moon related activities and displays provided by our event partners the Challenger Learning Center, the Greater St. Louis Air and Space Museum, the Missouri Mathematics and Science Coalition, Parks College, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, and the St. Louis Rocketry Association.
 
11am - 11:15am: Historic scale model launch re-enactment of the Apollo 11 Saturn V launch (weather permitting)
 
12:15pm - 1:15pm: Live presentation by legendary NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz.  Free tickets are available for this presentation at any Science Center box office on the day of the event.  Space is limited.
