Entrepreneurship Component
Youth Exploring Science
Lauren Patrick supervises the YES Entrepreneurship Component (YEC), co-supervises the Summertime Science Component, co-leads the Teen Science Cafe, and teaches in the community.
The YES Entrepreneurship Component (YEC) teens work in project-based learning communities to create products, businesses, and to educate and empower others to do the same. Teens create and sell products and will finish out the year with a solid business plan designed to showcase STEAM content. Teens hone their skills in all domains of entrepreneurship and become ready to be 21st century learners and employees. Annually, YES entrepreneurs are vendors at multiple showcases and expos, compete in multiple competitions, present their ideas and prototypes at Venture Café St. Louis, serve as exhibitors at the Midwest Digital Marketing Conference (MDMC), and engage with a multitude of business owners and mentors.
