Participate in wizarding activities, browse Harry Potter-inspired arts and crafts, and learn about the controversies of the Harry Potter franchise with special presenter Kayla Davis. Don’t miss Harry Potter documentary double-feature free in the OMNIMAX Theater at 10 pm!
First Friday is the Science Center’s premier experience for adults. Many activities are designed with individuals age 16 or older in mind. Families are welcome to enjoy the activities using parental discretion.

An English teacher and college graduate student/assistant from Arkansas State University (ASU) in Jonesboro, Kayla Davis is currently working on her master’s thesis, “Pedagogy of Harry Potter: Teaching the Fantastic”. The Harry Potter series inspired Ms. Davis’ love for reading and writing and led her to a career in teaching literature. She taught English to high school students in Highland, Arkansas for three years. In 2017, she decided to go back to ASU as a full-time graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts degree in English. Since being in graduate school, she has been both a student and teacher’s assistant in the college’s special topics course on the Harry Potter series..
