POLLEN PARTNERS, 2015
Employing drawing, printmaking, collage and mask-making, Raleigh Gardiner’s work explores the complex relationships between our definitions of “Self” and “Other” through the contexts of natural science, psychology, myth and ritual. For Pollen Vision, Gardiner examined agriculture and ecology by looking at several plant/animal relationships native to Missouri. This work introduces visitors to a diverse range of regional animal pollinators. Visitors can learn about the plants that rely on these relationships to thrive and build healthy ecosystems.
