In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

  • Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the sequel to Ghostbusters II (1989).
  • The film’s director, Jason Reitman, is the son of the director of the original films, Ivan Reitman.
  • This is the first Ghostbusters film to take place outside of New York City.
  • All of the original Ghostbusters from the first two films, minus the late Harold Ramis, reprise their roles in Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
  • The film was originally set to release in July 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

OMNIMAX Theater films take place in the OMNIMAX Theater on the 2nd floor of the main 5050 Oakland Building. Access is available through the main entrance, then the stairs in the main lobby to the second floor.

Accessibility

Convenient wheelchair accessible seating for the OMNIMAX Theater is available via the third floor entrance. Elevators and ramps serve all public areas of the theater.

The OMNIMAX Theater offers hearing assistance that is not available in any theater in the region. This includes new adjustable caption devices, new hearing assistance devices with Descriptive Video Services(DVS) and Telecoil. When ordering tickets, please let your reservationist know you’re interested in these items, or see an usher before your film begins.
