Enjoy our program, Dig Deep! 10:30am–11:30am

This field trip will dig deep into the science of soil and explore how soil supports life on earth. Through hands, on interactive activities, students will examine how and why their lives depend on healthy soils. Students will explore ways that human activity and natural events damage the soil. They will dig deep and examine their own lives, leaving the experience feeling empowered to create and maintain healthy soils. Watch the educational video, Soil Science Investigations (15min). When a prized pumpkin goes missing, investigators use soil science to undercover its fate. Students will learn about the composition of soil, microbes, and ecosystems.

Lunch – 11:30am – 12:00pm

Lunch may be purchased starting at $6 per student and $10.50 for adults, or you can bring your own.

Explore our GROW Gallery – 12pm – 1pm
