The Loeb Prize

Carol B. and Jerome T. Loeb established the Loeb Prize in 1995 in partnership with the Saint Louis Science Center. The Loeb Prize, which provides more than $7,000 to five classroom teachers, is designed to reward and recognize math and science teachers who significantly enhance student performance.

Let’s work together to ignite a passion for science and technology. Reach out at 314.286.4680 or education@slsc.org.

Nominations for the 2026 Loeb Prize are now open. Only principals and department heads may nominate people. Nominees must teach math or science and spend at least 50% of their time in the classroom. In addition, they must teach in grades 6-12. Educators in the following districts are eligible this year:

  • Ferguson/Florissant
  • Hazelwood
  • Jennings
  • Normandy
  • Riverview Gardens
  • Ritenour
  • University City
  • Private/Parochial schools within these districts

Please make sure you get your nominations in before the deadline on December 17th.
