Oakland Lot Parking changes

To better serve our guests and to provide easier accessibility, the Saint Louis Science Center will construct a new entrance to the main building at 5050 Oakland Avenue. The entrance will be located on the south side of the building closer to the parking lot.

Due to construction, there will be temporary changes to the designated accessible parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations. Accessible parking spaces will now be located on the northeast corner of the main parking lot, just south of the parking booths. The electric charging stations will be available again later this year. Please see the map for the location of the new accessibility parking spots.

We regret the temporary inconvenience. The Science Center values our guests and is always striving to make improvements to better the visitor experience. Thank you for your patience.

Parking at our Oakland Building at 5050 Oakland Avenue costs $10 during our regular season (Labor Day in September to Memorial Day in May), $12 during the summer season (Memorial Day in May to Labor Day in September), and is free for Science Center members year-round.

Free parking is available at the McDonnell Planetarium, which is connected to the Oakland Building by a walkable Skybridge over Interstate 64/Highway 40.

The Oakland Building and McDonnell Planetarium parking lots feature parking for vehicles displaying disabled placards. Visitors may wish to drop off individuals with mobility concerns in the circle drives in front of either entrance.
