On March 7 and 8, the Saint Louis Science Center held the EV Experience in collaboration in Ameren Missouri, bringing together examples of real world electric vehicles (EVs); experts, presentations, and interactives; and on Saturday, the chance to sign up to get behind the wheel for a test drive of these next-generation vehicles. Across the two days, the free event welcomed more than 5,110 guests to discover the world of electric vehicles and how they might fit into their own daily life.
In Boeing Hall, guests could explore electric vehicles of different types, including sedans, trucks and SUVs, to see the latest models and technologies up close.
Through interactive stations, team members from Ameren were on site to engage guests about the different types of EVs, battery technology, how charging works at home and on the road, and more. An EV Experience Center invited guests to learn about how EVs fit into everyday life, ask questions about charging options and installation from certified partners, and more.
The EV Experience also offered something for all ages with a selfie station photo opportunity, as well as an EV trivia activity and the chance to win special prizes.
But perhaps the most electrifying part of the weekend event was for grown-ups with Saturday’s EV Ride & Drive opportunity. Guests could sign up to experience a test drive in a thrilling lineup of EVs to see how they perform on the road, with more than 110 riders taking part. Now that’s going hands-on with science.
