In late March, members of the Science Center’s Einstein Society connected with local innovation during a special tour of the Purina Institute, located on the Nestlé Purina campus near downtown St. Louis. Held as part of the Science on the Move series, which invites Einstein Society members to see STEM in St. Louis up close, the event highlighted the work of Nestlé Purina, a global leader in unlocking nutrition to help pets live better, longer lives.
For the afternoon event, attendees toured the Nestlé Purina campus, explored the Purina Institute, and engaged with Purina Institute scientists. The Purina Institute shares Purina’s leading-edge research and evidence-based information from the wider scientific community in an accessible, actionable way to empower veterinarian professionals and pet care givers around the world.
Guests met the Purina Institute’s Dr. Jason Gagne, who shared the latest in how they are harnessing the power of research into nutritional technologies that help improve and extend the lives of cats and dogs globally. Guests also explored the Purina Institute’s state-of-the-art interactive exhibit space with Dr. Kimberly May, enjoying a hands-on showcase of nutrition science and breakthrough discoveries throughout the company’s history.
