For over 22 years the Saint Louis Science Center’s Youth Exploring Science (YES) Program has been at the heart of our mission to ignite and sustain lifelong science and technology learning.
By empowering teens from underserved communities throughout their high school years, the four-year YES Program helps teens develop the knowledge, aspirations and critical skills to succeed as the next generation of learners and workers in STEAM—science, technology, engineering, the arts and math.
Support for the YES Program allows teens to explore areas like aerospace, agriscience, engineering, integrated health and medicine, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship and more. YES Teens also help spark our community’s interest in STEAM with education programs at the Science Center, as well as outreach through community partner organizations and at pop-up science events, meaning that when you support YES, you’re supporting science and technology learning for the St. Louis community.
Since the program launched, YES has seen more than 1,200 teens graduate from the program, and more than 208,000 St. Louis community members have been engaged in STEAM learning through YES outreach initiatives.
