On this date, in 2024 a total solar eclipse will be visible from many parts of North America. The path of totality will pass through parts of Southeastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. Although St. Louis will not experience a total eclipse, areas like Cape Girardeau and Carbondale will. The average length of totality at these locations will be approximately 4 minutes and 6 seconds.
