Community Science Department

The community science department brings the Saint Louis Science Center to the community and the community to the Science Center. We engage in outreach by aligning ourselves with the Science Center’s mission, “to inspire everyone to be curious and engaged in science. We bring a variety of fun hands-on STEM projects to groups, schools and organizations throughout the community.

Look for our Youth Exploring Science (YES) educators and teens out driving the streets to bring STEM learning to the St. Louis community.

Thanks to the generous donation of two 2020 Honda Odyssey vans from the Frank Leta Family of Dealerships and custom wraps by ADGraphix, the YES program can travel all over St. Louis with fun and engaging STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities for the public. The YES program’s STEM outreach activities will follow all current health guidelines and take place at parks, events and festivals around the St. Louis area.
