A full moon occurs today at 12:28 pm CST. As the Moon is at apogee – the farthest point from Earth in its orbit, the Moon will be slightly smaller in appearance than average. The apparent difference in size will be undetectable to the human eye; however, this will be the smallest full moon of 2023.
