The Quadrantid Meteor Shower peaks tomorrow. Your best chance to see meteors is from 1 am to 6 am. This is when the radiant for the Quadrantids is rising in the northeast. This meteor shower is named after a defunct constellation called Quadrans Muralis. The radiant is now found in the constellation Boötes.

Historic star chart from 1801 created by Johannes Elert Bode. This star chart shows the location of the constellations Boötes, Coma Berenices and Canes Venatici. At the top of the map, you can find depicted the now defunct constellation Quadrans Muralis. This is the namesake of the annual Quadrantid meteor shower. Image credit: Alexander Jamieson.
