On this date in 1969, Apollo 11 – with astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr., aboard – was launched from Pad A, Launch Complex 39, KSC, at 9:32 a.m.  In just four days, Armstrong and Aldrin would become the first two people to set foot on the moon.
