Currently there are several planets visible in the morning sky, just before sunrise. Planets appear in the sky as bright points of light and can be easily confused for stars. The easiest way to tell the difference between a planet and a star is by seeing if the object in question twinkles. Stars scintillate, or twinkle, while planets typically do not.
