Portal to the Public
Portal to the Public events, programs, workshops, and fellowships help scientists and technology professionals encourage public interest in current science research and innovation. Developed by the Pacific Science Center, the Portal to the Public framework has been adopted by more than 50 institutions nationwide, including the Saint Louis Science Center.
Smithsonian Institution Affiliation
The Saint Louis Science Center was named a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate in 2016. This affiliation connects us to Smithsonian Affiliate members nationwide, and provides us with the opportunity to share Smithsonian artifacts, including space capsules, aircraft and rare minerals.
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) combines the excitement of high school sports with science and technology challenges. It is often called “the hardest fun ever.” Since 2002, the Saint Louis Science Center has been the major sponsor and educational partner for the FIRST Robotics Competition in St. Louis.

Science Beyond the Boundaries
Science Beyond the Boundaries is an international network of more than 270 museums. Founded and managed by the Saint Louis Science Center, this network empowers science museum professionals to advance informal science learning.
Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC)
ASTC is a global network of hundreds of science centers, museums, aquariums, zoos, and other institutions across nearly 50 countries. The ASTC Travel Passport Program entitles Saint Louis Science Center members to free or discounted admission at nearly 300 ASTC institutions.
American Alliance of Museums
Founded in 1906, the American Alliance of Museums is currently pursuing goals including diversity in museum programming and an expanded role for museums in the evolving ecosystem of P-12 education. More than 35,000 museum professionals and volunteers, institutions, and corporate partners benefit from the work of the Alliance, including the Saint Louis Science Center.
