Saint Louis Science Center Esports Code of Conduct

Thank you for choosing to participate in the Saint Louis Science Center’s Esports Program. We are excited to host you for this experience and hope you enjoy your time participating in this event. The Science Center is dedicated to ensuring all guests have a positive experience as they participate in this program. This Code of Conduct must be signed by every participant or a guardian (if participant is under the age of 18). The Saint Louis Science Center takes violations of this policy seriously and will respond appropriately, including ejection from the event and being escorted from the premises.

All participants of the Saint Louis Science Center esports program must abide by the following policies:

  1. Be supportive of each other. These experiences are meant to bring together members of the community who enjoy gaming and want to grow as gamers in the esports industry. Not all participants will be on the same skill level. We ask that participants congratulate others after each game regardless of the outcome. These experiences are meant to empower participants to challenge themselves and grow their skill level. Help them to achieve that goal.
  2. Be inclusive. The Science Center is committed to ensuring anyone interested in gaming is given an opportunity to participate. No matter a participant’s background, the Science Center is offering an opportunity for them to try something new and engage with members of the community to create new relationships. Comments or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes comments related to gender identify and expression, sexual orientation, disabilities, physical appearance, ethnicity, nationality, race, age, religion, and skill level.
  3. Speak up. Participants should immediately inform Science Center staff if they are subject to or witness any form of harassment. Creating a comfortable environment is important to the success and future of these events. All participants are responsible for creating a comfortable environment.
  4. Vulgar Language is not acceptable. Participants are asked to be mindful of their language. The Science Center is a family destination that offers experiences to all ages. Many of our guests are minors and language should be used with that mind. Vulgar language will not be tolerated.

The Saint Louis Science Center appreciates your support of this program. Please keep these policies in mind during gameplay to ensure this and future experiences are successful.
