Science at Sunset


Join us for after-hours summer fun for all ages

Grab your group for some after-hours fun at the Science Center during Science at Sunset. At our summer evening event for all ages, held from 5:30-8:30 PM every Thursday night June through August, you can enjoy food and drink specials, live music, and fun activities.

This is a free event, including parking at the 5050 Oakland Parking Lot. $5 Food and drinks specials are available for purchase. 

Ticketed experiences at a discounted rate. The McDonnell Planetarium parking lot will be closed.


Each Thursday you’ll enjoy:

  • Live music featuring local bands
  • $5 happy hour food and drink specials at GROW’s Fermentation Station
  • Activities in the outdoor GROW Gallery and Pavilion – a working urban farm that tells the story of the science behind the food we eat
  • Access to free hands-on exhibits
  • A discounted rate on films and our special exhibition
    Members enjoy discounted tickets, $12.95. Free for children 4 and under.

Science at Sunset will happen rain or shine. If there is inclement weather, the outdoor GROW Gallery and Pavilion will be closed but other indoor activities will continue as normal.
