The Science Center’s Community Science team was at Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village January 13–15 for Cardinals Care’s 27th Winter Warm-Up. This community event raises funds for the Cardinals Care program, which provides resources to care for kids in the St. Louis community and allows organizations like the Science Center to connect with the local community.

Providing family friendly activities throughout Busch Stadium, the Winter Warm-Up invites attendees to participate in tours of the Cardinals Clubhouse, live auctions and entertainment, autograph stations, admission to the Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum, and more.

The Science Center’s Community Science team was on hand to interact with attendees with problem-solving puzzles, as well as a hand crank generator to demonstrate the transfer of energy and show how incandescent, LED, and CFL lights use different amounts of energy. The event allowed the Science Center to impact 300 attendees with engaging STEM learning experiences.
