The health and safety of our guests, colleagues and community are our highest priority and we are monitoring the situation regarding the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) closely. We are following the CDC recommendations, are in communication with local officials and regional health authorities and will update plans as needed. We are continuing to assess the situation to ensure we are providing the safest environment possible for our guests and team members.

  • The Science Center has always had a high standard of cleanliness, especially in high-touch areas. We have greatly increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing exhibits and other public places. Our Building Services and Guest Services teams are continuously wiping surfaces throughout the day and deep cleaning each day after hours.
  • We are requiring team members to stay home if they are sick and instructing our team to follow the recommendations from the CDC regarding personal hygiene, like handwashing, disinfecting objects, etc. Additionally, we are cancelling business-related travel through April 30 and asking our colleagues to report any personal travel during that time.
  • We are also asking our guests to visit the Science Center responsibly and reschedule their visit if they are either showing respiratory symptoms/fever or if they think they might have been exposed to infected individuals.
  • We are looking at large organized gatherings through April and will announce a more comprehensive decision in the near future.

We want to continue to provide an opportunity for our community to visit our wonderful Science Center. We are open for regularly scheduled hours and look forward to welcoming our guests.
