Space Astros Candy – South Africa, ca. 1997

CHOCOLATE!!! Today is International Chocolate Day, and to celebrate we are going back to the late 90s with an out-of-this-world chocolate candy called Space Astros. These candy-coated chocolate biscuit bites made by Cadbury had a little bit of crunch and a lot of that dairy milk chocolatey taste Cadbury is known for. Chocolate nostalgia at its finest!

Cadbury launched Space Astros candy in 1997, and even though they were popular, the confectionary company decided to discontinue them in the UK a few years later. However, they were still sold in South Africa, and still are today! Much to the delight of many with a fond memory and sweet tooth for this bite sized candy, Cadbury began restocking Space Astros in select stores in the UK in the summer of 2022. You can find them on the Cadbury website now and buy them for yourself!
